For every cycle of the SLC, the injector is required to launch two electron bunches and a single positron bunch into their rsspective emittance damping rings. Each bunch is to have a population of 7.5 x 10” particles/bunch, an energy of 1.21 GeV, and a full width energy spread of less than 2%.
